Year after year “Sounds of the Dolomites” offers the winning combination of enchanting places and unforgettable experiences, in a well-established format: great musicians, and the most beautiful peaks of the Trentino Dolomites. Every year, in fact, thousands of people discover that the mountains are a place of wonder and encounters, but also an experience to listen to, remember and, above all, live through. In a way that would be impossible anywhere else.
In the year in which the festival is celebrating its 25th edition, in addition to the traditional musical appointments with classical music, jazz, world music and author’s song, opera music will be making its début on the Dolomite peaks: “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” by Gioachino Rossini will be the first entire opera to be performed at 2000 metres above sea level.
